Duet festival

Sweetheart and Sunshine participated in the San Diego Flute Guild Duet and Ensemble Festival this year. They've progressed enough to finally be able to play with someone else... and a sister is the most convenient practicing partner. They played Andante (Sunshine cannot find the name of the composer... sorry, dude that wrote Andante). I'm amazed at their progress sometimes. And underwhelmed at other times. It's kind of like watching them grow... you don't notice it most of the time. But once in a while you see something different.

One day I'll be able to upload some video and you can listen to them play. I'm proud of my little musicians... and they look so cute in their matching dresses. :)

This is a picture of them just outside the room they played in (at a school) with their teacher, Judy Kelley. She's awesome. We (Bennett and I) feel so lucky/blessed to have found her. She's patient, kind, and knows her flute stuff too. And she doesn't charge us an arm and a leg... well, beyond Southern California prices. I hope we're able to stick with her for several years.
